Charles Hu, DPM

Dr. Charles Hu is a board-certified podiatric foot and ankle surgeon dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered medical and surgical care. He believes in fostering an active partnership with his patients by offering the knowledge and support necessary for well-informed decision-making at every stage of their treatment.

Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Hu earned his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He gained valuable clinical experience before earning his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where he graduated cum laude at the top of his class. Dr. Hu went on to complete an extensive surgical residency at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and Washington Hospital Center, training alongside world-renowned physicians from the Georgetown Department of Plastic Surgery, the Rubin Institute of Advanced Orthopedics, and other leading programs across Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.

Dr. Hu specializes in minimally invasive surgery, plastic reconstructive surgical techniques, diabetic foot and ankle pathology, complex limb salvage, wound care, trauma, sports medicine, and both reconstructive and elective foot and ankle surgery. He is also highly experienced in the conservative and surgical management of a wide range of foot and ankle conditions including fungal nail care, calluses, wart/soft tissue masses, and bunion deformities. Additionally, Dr. Hu is proficient in Mandarin and conversationally fluent in Spanish, allowing him to foster clear and effective communication with patients from diverse backgrounds.

Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Hu enjoys rock climbing, basketball, tennis, learning new musical instruments, and exploring new restaurants through his passion for cooking and dining.
