Shannon Curran, DPM
Dr. Curran completed her undergraduate studies in Psychology and Pre-medicine
from Washington and Lee University, graduating cum laude. She spent the next
few years honing her understanding of the medical field as a Clinical Assistant.
As a Clinical Assistant, she drew blood, inserted IVs, prepared patients for
outpatient procedures and performed patient education daily. After learning the
foundation to medical work as a Clinic Assistant, she attended and graduated
from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine as a Pi Delta Honor
Society member. While in medical school, Dr. Curran was elected to school
leadership positions on the Executive Student Council for her class and as a
College Ambassador for incoming medical students.
She completed her residency training in Houston, TX at Kingwood Medical Center. As part of her residency, Dr. Curran was involved in a comprehensive foot and ankle surgical and academic environment. She participated in multiple journal clubs and conferences to further her educational and surgical training. As a resident, she was a volunteer for the Houston Marathon, helping multiple runners at the resolution of the race with various sports related injuries.
Dr. Curran strives to provide the highest standard of care to all her patients and help them put their best feet first. Dr. Curran’s professional interests include a variety of foot and ankle problems, such as, ingrown toenails, bunions, hammertoes, sports medicine pathologies, ankle arthroscopy, foot and ankle trauma, and reconstructive procedures.
Born and raised in Minnesota, Dr. Curran has an appreciation for outdoor
activities and warm weather. In her spare time, Dr. Curran enjoys an active
lifestyle of hiking, biking, running, golf and tennis throughout the Bay Area.
